Abstract

The confinement for the Covid-19 pandemic between March and May 2020 generated an unprecedented global increase in the consumption of information and entertainment. In this situation, radio once again became the most immediate, personalized and reliable medium, and its action not only served to follow the evolution of the coronavirus, but also to strengthen the emotional bonds of groups and social groups that had been separated by distance. This article describes the case of Radio Nebrija, which launched its first real production through a weekly podcastwith the objectives of strengthening academic and institutional contact inits community and giving continuity to the radio training of the students. Its work has received a mention from the Gabo Foundation as an example of journalistic innovation during the quarantine.
