Zusammenfassung

The attentional processes have been the subject of study during the last decades due to their impact on the development of cognitiveprocesses in the infant stage. Attention is involved in most of theseprocesses and, therefore, its understanding is essential. Research on attentional processes during infancy has focused on the knowledge of visual attention. However, auditory attention is essential during the learning process and it is not possible to understand it only by studying the mechanisms that explain visual attention. The results obtained explain the structural and size brain differences involved in the flexibility of auditory attentional processing. In addition, wave patterns in people with learning difficulties correlate with nonverbalIQ, as well as greater difficulty in hyperactive children in maintainingattention and inhibition, indicating deficits in sustained and focusedattention. Equally important is the impact of emotions and environment on the development of auditory processing. In conclusion, the patterns obtained in neuroimaging facilitate the association between neural markers and higher functions involved in learning. Alterations in auditory processing are related to difficulties in the learning process.
