Zusammenfassung

This study is based on the devel-opment of a basketball teaching unit composed of 10 sessions through the application of a comprehensive methodologies, such as the model “Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU )”. This proposal has been carried out in a public primary school, specifically with students of two classes of 6º grade. In one group, teacher followed the TGfU model, applying the two methodological tools (small-sided and modified games and questioning), and in the other group, it has been applied only the first principle of this model. In this sense, we propose a research that has pretended the goal that students can play a 3 vs. 3 game with continu-ity and with a playful character. Thus, we have been considered that student achieve the following objec-tives: know the basic rules (functional) of basketball, learn and cognitive-ly involve students in the basics of individual and collective tactics in basketball, learn and improve bas-ketball skills: adaptations to the game, dribbling and protection, pass-es and receptions, movements and shooting. For the assessment of the program, it has been measured the procedural knowledge, the decision-making and the execution
