The overarching goal of this volume is to broaden the scope of foreign language emotion research with cutting-edge empirical studies carried out in a variety of countries, targeting different populations and language contexts, drawing on different methodological paradigms, and covering a range of emotions including positive (happiness), negative (sadness, anger), and social emotions (shame and guilt).
