Abstract
Sometimes gender stereotypes convey a reduced view of women, instead of contributing to their empowerment. The influence of IT has spread stereotypes from the fashion industry to the whole social dialogue. At times this issue has meant a lack of psychosocial adjustment in girls and adolescents and a highervulnerability towards sexual violence. Not all sectors agree about the possible measures to protect them from this concern. Therefore, there is a discussion to aware of an integrated gender sensitive gaze, that embraces all dimensions of a person. This constructive trend will start with the family and continue to education institutions and companies. There is a special need to count on businesses working on communication and advertising. Research has shown the benefits of this integrative perspective in several fields: psychology, therapy, sociology, and ecologic sustainability. The role of teachers is key in helping achieve the goal of gender equality that respects diversity.
