Abstract

The first magazines specializing in computer science for users arise in Spain in the eighties. Previously, the manuals of the manufacturers and the technical press were the only available information sources. These pioneering publications specializing in computer science helped in a clear way to spread the discipline. They were thinking about how to transmit technology, modernity and future, what is reflected, in some magazine headings that incorporate typographies of technological inspiration. The digital clocks and calculators, the types of low resolution and the automatic reading of texts helped to the creation and later use of this new category of fonts.
