Abstract
The first section of the article compares traditional and current teaching methods. The second section of the article considers the specific nature of the new teaching era, i.e. its numerous IT possibilities. For this, we describe the ten steps the ElektraRed project developed for teaching writing skills in language education. Whereas Buyse (2006b) mainly focused on methodology and empirical results, this article examines every step from a practical point of view, hereby defining how to apply the strongest methodology aspects outside the field of language education, with or without IT.
